Life can be so beautifully messy, and we have all had life experiences that impact the lens through which we see the world, ourselves, and others. This can lead to feelings of stuckness, negative self-beliefs, and repeating the same patterns over and over, even when we know they’re not working for us. Therapy can help you identify, understand, and begin to change those patterns and beliefs into something that works better for you.
I believe that valuable therapeutic work can only be done with a strong and trusting relationship between client and therapist. I work to create a safe and comfortable environment in which you can truly show up as yourself, and know that you will be accepted and seen just as you are. My approach is warm and authentic - I want the therapeutic experience to be as enjoyable as it is helpful. I am trained in EMDR therapy and use an approach tailored to your needs and who you are as a person. I want therapy to be so much more than sitting in front of you and asking “...how does that make you feel?” If you’re interested in integrating art, play, movement, music, sand tray, or spiritual practices into our work - let’s do it! We all deserve to take up space in ways that feel good.
While I have experience working with all ages, my true passion is working with teens and young adults in the following areas: self-esteem, food and body image issues, boundaries, stress, and life transitions.
Please note, my Upper Lake office is now permanently closed. I am, however, accepting new clients for my Sacramento office!
